NYC Air Quality Settles Down Heavy Storms Possible Monday

Good morning everyone. Things are finally looking on the up and up haze and smoke-wise as everything breaks apart. We have a fairly quiet weekend aside form the slight chance of a shower or storm late today, then a better chance at some nasty storms (especially to our west) on Monday.

SATELLITE

Expect AM sunshine, then clouds and sun in the afternoon today. We’ll have the chance of a popcorn shower or storm, and anyone who does see a storm could see some small hail and gusty winds. Highs today 75-80.

Tomorrow we have a really nice day, with full sunshine and highs 85-90.

WEATHER RADAR

Clouds increase on Monday ahead of our next system, and we’ll see a line of showers and embedded storms head from west to east. Some of those storms may reach severe limits, with the biggest threat being straight-line winds. Highs 75-80.

Expect sun & clouds both Tuesday and Wednesday, with the chance of some scattered showers and highs 75-80 again.

We clear things out Thursday and Friday, with some extra sunshine and highs in the low 80’s.
