NYC Another Mild Day Rainy Gusty Friday

Good morning everyone. We have another nice day brewing today after some morning clouds, and Friday continues to be shaping up like a showery, gusty, thundery day. Much cooler and more seasonable weather will be on the heels of Friday’s front, clearing the way for a sunny and average weekend.

Morning clouds will clear out faster than previously thought yesterday, and that’ll give us a slight chance of some more 70 degree hits in spots. It’ll be a little more tough this time since the wind profile won’t be as friendly, but if we can keep the northerlies from getting steady until early afternoon, some spots may do it. We’ll call for 65-70 degree temps once again and increasing sunshine.

WEATHER RADAR

We’ll increase the clouds tomorrow and the wind definitely won’t be as friendly for very mild temps. We’ll still be above average, but a developing southeast breeze and increasing clouds will keep things around 60 in most spots.

We’ll have a few brief/light showers well ahead of our front tomorrow late night and into Friday AM, then we’ll get into more gustier & heavier scattered showers in the afternoon. Don’t be surprised if you hear a rumble or two of thunder, and overall it’ll be a gusty/windy day. Look for muggy mid to upper 60’s, and if we happen to get a break of sun somewhere, you may see a scattered 70 degree hit here and there; especially away from the shore.

Expect sunshine and a steady breeze on Saturday, then a mix of sun & clouds late. That’s in response to a weak spoke of energy that may sneak into the area, giving us the slight chance of a few brief late afternoon showers. Highs will be in the mid 50’s. Full sunshine returns on Sunday with near 50 temps as highs.
