NYC Big Temp Swings Ahead

Good morning everyone. We continue to watch the prospects of a pattern change ahead, but before that, we have some heat and varied temps to deal with. Check out the latest below…

SATELLITE

For today, look for muggy conditions with highs near 90º. We could see some scattered thunderstorm action in the late afternoon/evening. Not everyone will see something, but for those who do, you could see locally severe weather.

WEATHER RADAR

NWS is calling for scattered storms tomorrow, but I don’t see much going in that regard. We’ll have a mix of sun & clouds with highs in the low to mid 80’s. Look for more of the same on Sunday, with no storms expected at all.

Humidity returns on Monday as we creep towards the upper 80’s. 90’s return for a 3 day stretch Tuesday, onward; and we could see a bonus day in the 90’s next Friday depending on the timing of our front. We’ll have to see what’s behind that front, but at minimum, New England is looking early Fall-like in spots. Perhaps some of that cooler air (modified) can make it down to the NYC area and grace us with some 70’s and low 80’s.
