NYC Chilly Weekend Likely

Good morning everyone. We have 1 good day this workweek temp-wise, and that day is tomorrow before the bottom drops out again. A fast moving pattern remains, with not much mild air available for the Northeast yet.

For today, look for sun & clouds and seasonably cool conditions. It’ll be in the 50-55 degree range and dry. Morning clouds will give way to PM sunshine tomorrow. Mild air rushes in ahead of our next system, and we could see temps in the 65-70 degree range depending on how much sun we get. Look for much cooler conditions along south facing shores and the east end of Long Island.

WEATHER RADAR

We’ll have a fairly good shot at some soaking rain overnight tomorrow and into very early Friday. Temps fall through the 50’s and into the upper 40’s before sunset. Look for a cold one overnight Friday as we dip into the upper 20’s to low 30’s.

We”ll have sunshine and chilly conditions on Saturday as highs only reach the mid 40’s at best. Things modify a bit on Sunday, but we remain chilly/very cool with highs in the upper 40’s to low 50’s. Best chance to see some milder air, will be ahead of a more significant system next Thursday and Good Friday. We’ll see if the warm front can make it fully through, but if it does, 75-80 degree temps are not out of the realm of reality; especially just to the west of NYC. Much cooler conditions rush in for Passover/Easter weekend.
