NYC CLOUDY COLD SUPER BOWL SUNDAY – Good afternoon everyone and welcome back! Not much going on today with clear, sunny skies, a stiff breeze out of the WNW and cold temps. Highs have reached their peak  in the low to mid 30’s and clear skies will make for a chilly night; lows in the upper 20’s. For Super Bowl Sunday, weak low pressure will head well to our north, bringing cloudy skies and an icy feel to the air, but flurries are not expected anymore; highs in the low 40’s. Things will clear out for tomorrow night, with lows in the low 30’s and sunny skies for Monday; highs near 40 to low 40’s.

WET & WINDY TUES/WED

For Tuesday and Wednesday, a low pressure system heads up into the Great Lakes area, first giving us warm front related cold rain on Tuesday, highs in the mid 40’s; then a milder Wednesday, highs in the mid 50’s and rain until late morning as the cold front transits the area. Seasonably cold air returns for Thursday through Saturday, with highs 35-40 and lows in the mid to upper 20’s. As stated in previous forecasts, I don’t see any big, long lasting warmups anytime soon aside from single, above average days related to be in any warm sector of systems that may come through.

NYC CLOUDY COLD SUPER BOWL SUNDAY – Sunny skies continue as we sit in between two systems. Tuesday and Wednesday’s system is starting to take shape in the lower Midwest.

Radar is clear aside from some lake effect snow and will remain quiet until Tuesday.
