NYC Cold Through Monday Then Mild Midweek Next Week

Good morning everyone. Cold air and breezy conditions have return to the area, but that’ll help keep us rain-free and dry for a good stretch. We’re also keeping an eye on some milder air, which remains fairly consistent with each model run. However, one must be cautious as to how mild it really gets, and not go exactly by some of these models runs.

For today, sunshine won’t do much and that’ll be the theme to close out the week and into the weekend. We’ll have blustery conditions today, with highs hold near 40, then dropping by sunset. Overnight lows will sink into the low 20’s in the NYC area, and some teens away from the heat island.

F5 WEATHER RADARS

Sunshine continues tomorrow as does the breezy conditions. We’re a touch colder with highs in the mid to upper 30’s. Saturday and Sunday are looking no better temp-wise, but we cut off the wind and remain precipitation free. Expect highs in the 35-40 range both days.

Chilly air remains in the area on Monday with mid 40’s, but then things look to modify for several days. We’re still holding onto sunshine and dry conditions, but that mild air will be front-related.

Average highs this time of year in the NYC area hover around 48 degrees, so we’re almost there on Monday with mid 40’s, but notch past that mark Tuesday through Thursday. For the moment, we’re going to play it conservative, with low 50’s possible Tuesday, then 55-60 weather Wednesday & Thursday before cooler conditions return.

As we get closer, we’ll fine-tune those numbers, taking sunshine, clouds,  and wind profiles into consideration.
