NYC Early Season Heatwave Unfolds
Good morning everyone. A hot airmass is moving in and will be here to stay for several days. It’s a little early in the season for a heatwave, but we’ve seen this before; most notably in 2005. Look for record to near-record temps tomorrow through Wednesday before returning back to reality Thursday.
SATELLITE
Look for a sunny and hot day with temperatures near 90. The toastier stuff moves in tomorrow with more sunshine and mid 90’s.
WEATHER RADAR
By Monday, we’ll have high temps near 100 and we could see a repeat performance Tuesday. Wednesday looks to be slightly cooler with highs in the low to mid 90’s.
Relief comes on Thursday and Friday with mid 80’s and the slight chance of a heavy thunderstorm or two.
