NYC Mild Possibly Warm Weekend Ahead

Good morning everyone. After some seasonably cool weather today and tomorrow, we return to some more mild temps on Saturday. Sunday may be on the warm side depending on the cloud cover, and the header graphic is a little misleading for Monday. Whether warmer air remains or not, will hang on what side of the front we’re on. Regardless, we gradually sink back towards normal temps later next week.

In the meantime as we work out the complicated forecast for next week, we have refreshing air around today and tomorrow. Look for sunshine and mid 60’s today, with lows possibly dipping into the 40’s away from NYC proper.

Expect more sunshine tomorrow, with mid to upper 60’s, lighter winds, and low 50’s for lows. We could still see some upper 40’s N&W of NYC and central Suffolk.

WEATHER RADAR

We warm back up for the weekend, with low to mid 70’s on Saturday under more sunshine. Lows will only dip into the 60’s, which will give Sunday a good jumping off point. We’ll have AM Sun, then increasing clouds for Sunday. How much sun we get will dictate how warm we go. More sun will get us into the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Extra clouds will keep us in the mid 70’s.

Monday remains a complicated forecast depending on where our front sets up. If we remain in the warm sector, look for clouds, the chance of showers, and muggy mid 70’s. If that front drapes across the area, expect upper 60’s to near 70. Regardless of what happens, cooler air heads in mid-week next week, and we will be back into more consistent 60’s to near 70.
