NYC Mostly Cloudy Day Today & Heat Returns Tomorrow

Good morning everyone. The last of our system hung up in the area will begin pulling out, but not before clouds hang around for most of the day today. Heat will be returning tomorrow, and we’ll see if we can squeeze out a bonus day on Wednesday. That’ll all depend on the timing of our next front and how long the sun stays out.

SATELLITE

Look for AM cloudy skies, then we should see some blue patches later on. We’ll have highs in the low to mid 80’s, and the slight chance of a shower.

WEATHER RADAR

The heat is on tomorrow as we return to the 90’s in many spots. We’ll have some bright sunshine, light winds, and somewhat dry conditions.

We’ll carry that over on Wednesday, with light westerlies helping to boost us quickly into the mid to upper 80’s before clouds begin to roll in. If the clouds hang back just an hour or two, that should be enough to get us to near 90 in spots. Wednesday remains our best chance for some thunderstorms, with some of them possibly severe.

Late week we cool off back into the mid 80’s for Thursday and Friday, with Thursday looking like the sunnier of the two. Your weekend is holding steady as well, with more mid 80’s, a dry Saturday, and the slight chance of showers on Sunday.
