NYC Muggy & Thundery Week Seating Up
Good morning everyone and welcome to the real “dog days” of summer. After some decent conditions, the weather gods are reminding us that fall is not around the corner yet, and summer still has a lot of juicy conditions left. Muggy conditions have returned, and tomorrow we begin adding showers & storms into the mix.
SATELLITE
For today, we’ll have mix of sun and clouds, increasing humidity, and highs in the mid 80’s. Tomorrow looks more of the same, but low to mid 80’s (cooler at the shore) as southerlies increase in speed ahead of a very slow moving system. We’ll have the slight chance of a scatter shower or storm, but that chance increases overnight.
WEATHER RADAR
We’ll keep the better chance of showers & storms with muggy conditions on Monday with highs again in the low to mid 80’s; then we dial back the chance a bit for the rest of the week. Look for sun & clouds, muggy conditions, and the chance of a few scattered showers and storms on Tuesday; highs in the low to mid 80’s.
That theme continues for the rest of the workweek, but the heat dials up a bit Thursday and Friday with upper 80’s to near 90 possible. There seems to be no relief in sight regarding this pattern until early to mid week the following week.
