NYC Occasional Rain Today Scattered Gusty Showers Tomorrow

Good morning everyone. As promised the gloom has returned and remained in the area for today. It’ll be a tough go for those seeking full sunshine anytime soon, but we do have breaks here and there; you just have to look hard enough.

SATELLITE

Today is essentially lost with no hope as the rest of our system trudges through, bringing on & off rain, drizzle, and fog. Highs today around 50.

REGIONAL RADAR

We clear out somewhat tomorrow, but the upper air low associated with this system has a hard time clearing out. That’ll equate to to sun clouds tomorrow, somewhat mild with highs near 60, and the sun may touch off a few gusty showers in the area. A few isolated cells, especially for interior sections of the Northeast, could produce some very small hail.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

On Tuesday, sun and clouds continue with the slight chance of a scattered shower, but the atmosphere won’t be as unstable. Highs Tuesday in the low to mid 50’s.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Low to mid 50’s continue for the rest of the week, with varying amounts of sunshine. Wednesday we’ll have essentially none with clouds coming back in, then we ease things up on Thursday with a little more sunshine; then a little more Friday.

Next weekend hangs on a weak system coming through. If we can get it to pass through Saturday night, we may spare both Saturday and Sunday with decent days and comfy temps.
