NYC Pleasant Day Today Very Warm Weekend Ahead

Good morning everyone. We have another winner of a day here today and a decent stretch overall before very warm weather returns this weekend. That will be the start of a potentially hot stretch, but that’ll all hang on cloud cover and moisture that’ll be pumped in from the SSW.

SATELLITE

Expect sunny skies, a stiff breeze, low humidity and temps in the upper 70’s to low 80’s today. Lows overnight won’t be as “cool” as this past Saturday morning, but we’ll still be comfortable in the 60-65 range.

WEATHER RADAR

Pleasant and comfortable conditions continue tomorrow, but we’ll see a few more clouds in the picture. Humidity remains relatively low, and we’ll see highs in the near 80/low 80 realm. Same goes for Wednesday with a few more clouds, then we’ll be looking for a little more humidity and some showers Thursday.

Sunshine returns for Friday, but now we’ll be into the warmer airmass. Expect mid 80’s and a typically humid August day.

That Bermuda High I’ve been talking about starts pumping in the tropical stuff for Saturday and Sunday. Look for upper 80’s and muggy conditions both days. We’ll be looking for possible 90-95 degree temps next week, and that’ll depend on where the conveyor belt of moisture sets up on the western side of our Bermuda High. Clouds, showers, and storms, would keep us a muggy mid to upper 80’s as opposed to 90’s, and we may have to take the forecast on a day-to-day basis.
