NYC PM Heavy Storms Possible

Good morning everyone. After we get through a slight “hiccup” today in the form of widely scattered strong to severe storms, things look rain-free and very warm/hot for the next 5 days or so. This means that your 4th of July is looking epic for BBQ’ing and fireworks at night.

We start off with sunshine today, then puffy clouds will increase as the day goes on. We’ll see some storms break out to our west and north of the City. Some of these may sneak in and will be capable of frequent lighting, hail, strong winds, and torrential downpours. Highs will also be on the hot side as we near or exceed 90.

WEATHER RADAR

Your 4th of July looks fantastic in the form of full sunshine and very warm conditions. Highs will be in the upper 80’s. Look for upper 80’s to continue on Saturday under more sunshine, then near 90/low 90 temps on Sunday.

Your workweek next week starts of sunny and hot with low to mid 90’s likely Monday. The heat should break on Tuesday although we’ll have highs in the upper 80’s to near 90 before thunderstorms arrive. These could also be on the severe side.
