NYC Quiet & Cold Then Quiet & Milder

Good morning everyone. Our cold stretch continues for the next several days, then things go slightly milder as we break up the pattern a bit. The jet stream will begin taking some of our systems up and over the region, allowing some 40’s and possibly 50’s filter into the NYC Metro area.

SATELLITE

Expect a mix of sun & clouds today and tomorrow, with upper 20’s to low 30’s dominating the area. Lows will dip into the teens to low 20’s tonight, then low to mid 20’s tomorrow night. A quick moving area of energy could touch off some scattered brief snow showers tomorrow night, but the likelihood if seeing anything is small. Cold weather resumes on Sunday with full sunshine and low to mid 30’s for highs.

WEATHER RADAR

Our workweek starts off cold, with more upper 20’s to low 30’s for highs. Tuesday is when the change begins with high pressure moving offshore. We’ll have some clouds in the region, but we’ll slowly modify into the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

By Wednesday and Thursday, we’re into the mid 40’s with quiet conditions. Look for some showers possible on Friday with more mid 40’s; then by next weekend, we could see some 50-55 degree temps if things work out as depicted by most models.
