NYC Quiet Weeks Finish Milder Air On The Move

Good morning everyone. We have a nice, quiet finish to the week, a quiet weekend, and some milder air ready to show its presence next week. I’m not thinking anything outrageous, but it’ll be comfortably mild as we get a better idea how things might unfold.

Sunshine and low 50’s continue to dominate the scene, and we’ll keep that going both today and tomorrow. We also keep the chilly nights in place as most places dip into the 30’s for the next 2 overnights.

WEATHER RADAR

Your weekend is looking very quiet with more sunshine on Saturday, low to mid 50’s, and back to near 40 overnight. Depending on whether low pressure can be suppressed far enough south, will dictate how “milder” we go Sunday. If low pressure edges closer, expect clouds and sun, a steadier east flow, and highs in the mid 50’s. Further away, and we have more sunshine, lighter winds, and highs near 60. We should have a better idea tomorrow how it’ll pan out. Either way, there is no actual impact in our area aside from high temps.

Next week continues to look like a gem for this time of year. Look for sunshine and low 60’s Monday, then a light WSW flow on Tuesday. That’ll translate into 65-70 degree temps, then we wait to see if clouds have an influence Wednesday and Thursday. For now, we’ll call for low to mid 60’s as highs, but extra sunshine could put us back into the 65-70 degree range. We’re also watching our next system for Friday, and timing is key. If the front holds off, we could see a humid 65-70 degree day. If not, we could see clouds and gusty showers by afternoon and low to mid 60’s.
