NYC SAINT PATRICKS 2019 FORECAST

Good morning everyone. We’re on cruise control here in NYC as best as we can considering how volatile March can be in the Northeast. The ups and downs continue, but they’re fairly predictable as of now.

EASTERN SATELLITE

Sunny skies and windy conditions rule as cool air has made it’s way in. Expect highs in the mid 40’s. Mid 40’s continue tomorrow, but we bring some clouds in and calm the wind down. Overall it’s a more comfortable day but we remain seasonably cool.

REGIONAL RADAR

Our next system begins to make its approach Thursday, so we’ll keep clouds in the area. Expect low to mid 50’s and the previous forecast holds with keeping everything dry the entire day. We’ll have the slight chance of rain starting overnight between 11pm and 1am, but the bulk of the energy arrives Friday.

I’m still skeptical we can pull off mid 60’s with a cold ocean on Friday, but we’ll be mild regardless. I think if we can hold off the fog and misty conditions, maybe we can pull off a humid and damp 63-65, but upper 50’s to near 60 is a more realistic goal for now. Either way, we’ll have on and off rain for most of the day, with a few rumbles of thunder possible.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

For the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday in New York City, we’re looking sunny, windy, dry, and slightly above normal temp-wise. You can’t really ask for much more in March because it could be anything. Expect highs in the low to mid 50’s, then cooler air ushers in overnight.

For St Patrick’s Day itself on Sunday, we’re looking like March in Ireland. Sunny skies continue, but we dip into the mid 40’s and breezy as seasonably cool air takes hold.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

That cool air sticks around to start the week, with a brief reinforcing shot on Tuesday. With that reinforcing shot, we could see a sprinkle or flurry during the process. However, we begin to modify on Wednesday and then we’re back to playing the game of seeing what type of system we’ll see next and if there will be another shot of milder air or not.
