NYC Scattered Storms Moving In

Good afternoon everyone. Scattered heavy thundershowers are entering and transiting the area as we speak, giving us locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and some possible small hail in isolated spots. This process will help bring in cooler conditions tomorrow, but moisture and clouds will get hung up in the area. What was supposed to be a sunny day tomorrow, will be delayed till Sunday. After that, very warm to hot conditions move in next week for a few days.

SATELLITE

After some scattered storms in the next couple of hours, clouds and sun will return as we sink into the 70’s. Clouds will stick around tomorrow with the slight chance of showers with steady easterlies and highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

Low 80’s stick around for Sunday, but sunshine will return. Lows overnight will only dip to near 70, once again a sign that more humid and warmer air moves in.

WEATHER RADAR

We start out very warm on Monday with upper 80’s and sunshine, then to low to mid 90’s both Tuesday and Wednesday. The temps break a bit, but we stay very warm Thursday and Friday, before possibly going hot again next Saturday and Sunday.

In the long range, the heat in the midwest and south may finally shift eastward, giving us the first chance of a possible heatwave starting NEXT Saturday or Sunday. We’ll be keeping an eye on it all to see if it comes to fruition, and if so, how long it’ll last.
