NYC Showery & Milder Monday Expected

Good morning everyone. Snowfall last night went pretty much as expected, with a general 4-8″ across a wide swath of the region. Snow started earlier and ended fast, there was some sleet in between, and a dry slow shut things off for a bit, but the radar filled back and we got what has been discussed for the past week. Largest amounts in the NYC/LI metro area, go to central and eastern parts of Long Island as they weren’t impacted as much from the dry period and sleet. Now that we’re done with this odd system, we pivot back to milder conditions and showers; then a cold rest-of-the-week.

Look for a few blue breaks later in the day today, but we remain on the cold side with low to mid 30’s at best. Clouds increase again tomorrow with highs near 40.

WEATHER RADAR

We’ll have the chance of rain before sunrise Monday, then the chance of on and off gusty showers throughout the day. We’re on the mild aide of this system, with highs in the near 50 range. Things clear out on Tuesday, but expect windy and cold conditions in the low 30’s at best. Sunshine and mid 30’s grace us for Wednesday and Thursday.

By Friday, a reinforcing shot of cold air knocks us back into the 25-30 range with blustery conditions.
