Good morning everyone. We continue to watch some much needed rain heading towards the region, but we adjust the forecast as it originally looked as if things cleared out on Sunday. It does not happen since it looks as if low pressure will get cut off in the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes area, sending waves of energy into the Northeast into at least midweek next week; maybe even longer. While nobody likes gloomy weather, the fire risk is too high and this will be a big help.
Today will be the last day of full sunshine, and we remain comfortable with upper 60’s for highs. Humidity and warmth increase tomorrow with near 80 degree temps. Morning sun will also give way to clouds and the risk of a late shower or storm.
Clouds stick around Saturday, with on and off showers and highs in the mid to upper 70’s. We cool off a bit back into the near 70 range on Sunday, with mostly cloudy skies and on and off showers.
Look for more of the same on Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday as stubborn low pressure refuses to budge very much.
Please note that with regards to any severe weather, tropical storms, or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
