Good morning everyone. Smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to plague much of New England and the Tri-State area. Thankfully, a front diving down, plus some subsequent rain on Saturday, will help clear things out for a little while. Check out the latest below…
Patchy smoke continues today, with more smoke overnight tonight. We’ll have highs in the low 90’s today with the slight chance of a PM storm even though it’s not mentioned by NWS. Northerly winds will help push that smoke to the south of us tomorrow afternoon, but it remains very warm with highs in the upper 80’s.
Look for on and off showers possible on Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies and muggy highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. We clear out Sunday afternoon with comfortably warm conditions as highs reach the 80-85 degree realm.
Looking into the start of next week, we’ll have a comfortably warm day on Monday with sunshine and mid 80’s; then humidity increases on Tuesday with more mid 80’s and the risk of a scattered storm.
Please note that with regards to any severe weather, tropical storms, or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
