NYC SNOW LOVERS NIGHTMARE

Good morning everyone. Our next rainmaker is beginning to emerge out west and will begin to trek our way for late week. Meanwhile, there’s nothing but bad news for snow lovers as our system track continues to rhyme itself into oblivion over the Great Lake states. This means we stick to this rain, cool, rain, cool pattern until something jolts things south and east (if that happens at all).

SATELLITE

As far as temps are concerned, we’re really not that above normal aside from the milder air just ahead of these systems. Average high in the dead of winter is 39 for NYC, so while we get much colder of course, winter for NYC isn’t 20’s throughout the season. This means that are high today in the upper 30’s to low 40’s, is pretty much just about average or a degree or two above average if we make it to 42.

Morning clouds today will give way to afternoon sun, flooded by increasing clouds again tomorrow. We’ll remain dry and seasonably chilly, with highs again in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

WEATHER RADAR

It won’t be till Thursday till we see some milder air, and again, it’s just ahead of our next system. We’ll have lowering and thickening clouds, chance of late PM showers, and highs near 50.

Steadier and heavier rain will move in late Thursday night, then continue as on & off rain, heavy at times, and highs in the 50-55 range Friday. Rain and gusty winds work through the night on Friday, then things will begin to taper off Saturday.

Look for a slight chance of early AM showers Saturdays, then late but patches as things begin to break up. We’ll be back to seasonably chilly-mode, with breezy conditions and highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

Expect more of the same on Sunday.
