Good morning everyone. Summer arrives today and the weather matches perfectly for the date. Things get a little on the relatively hot-side to start next week, and we’ll keep varying amounts of warmth to heat around for quite some time.
Puffy cumulus clouds dot the sky as does some wispy high clouds. Expect that to continue with an 80-85 degree day, a slight chance of a shower or storm, and humid conditions.
The same goes for Father’s Day tomorrow, with sun & clouds, 80-85 degree temps, humid conditions, and the slight chance of a shower or storm.
Monday continues to look like the day in which warmer air begins to settle in, with mid to upper 80’s as highs, and once again, the chance of a shower or storm.
We go hot on Tuesday and Wednesday, with near 90 temps, then a cold front moves through some time on Wednesday with the chance of some showers and storms.
Overall, the pattern is weak and slow, so that cold front won’t do much except temporarily cut the humidity a bit for a couple of days. Mid to upper 80’s remain for Thursday and Friday, then we may cool off slightly if a cut-off low gets going again.
Even so, the heat fights back hard and we should snap back to near 90 or maybe even 90-95 degree temps some time before July 4th.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
