NYC Taste of Late-Spring & Summer This Week

Good morning everyone and happy Monday. We’re expecting some fantastic (even though unseasonable) weather this week as warm air takes over and makes everyone forget about a rough winter we had. Today is our transition day as mild air pushes east and north, then takes hold all the way through the weekend.

SATELLITE

Clouds are in the picture today ahead of our warm front. We could see a few sprinkles or scattered light rain today, but the majority of it goes north and west of the NYC area. The day starts off cool, but we should hit the low to upper 70’s depending on how many blue breaks we get later.

WEATHER RADAR

We’ll have full sunshine tomorrow as highs bust through the 80’s. Look for low 80’s, but much cooler along the shore as southerly winds blow off the cooler ocean. Wednesday is the warmest of the bunch, with highs in the mid to upper 80’s in the NYC area. It’ll be cooler at the shore again, plus we’ll be watching for heavy showers and thunderstorms. Most of that action will probably go north and west of the NYC area, but we’ll see if any strays reach down across the area.

Look for clouds and sun on Thursday with low 80’s, then sunshine and near 80º temps on Friday. Things cool off a bit over the weekend, but we’re still very comfortable in the 70-75 degree range both Saturday & Sunday.
