NYC Unseasonably Warm Tomorrow Unseasonably Cool Sunday

Good morning everyone. The ups and downs of early’ish spring continues as we look for very mild/warm conditions tomorrow, then very cool conditions on Sunday. While going through the long range forecasts over the past several weeks, we discussed the prospect of very brief opportunities for mild air, but a predominately cool pattern. This seems to be the case, as 50’s will stretch well beyond Sunday after nearing 80 tomorrow for 1 day.

SATELLITE

We’ll have sun and clouds today for an overall pleasant day. The extra sunshine will get us to near 70, but it’ll be cooler at the shore. Overnight, we barely dip to the low 60’s/near 60, and that’ll help give us a good foundation for tomorrow’s warm weather.

Depending on the amount of sunshine, we’ll have upper 70’s to low 80’s tomorrow. Best chance to near 80 or crack 80, will be just west of Manhattan, downtown Brooklyn, and northern spots of Queens. It’ll be much cooler at the shore, where many spots will linger in the 60’s. Showers and storms will move in overnight, and we’ll watch the radar to see if anything severe pops up.

WEATHER RADAR

Full sunshine returns Friday after the slight chance of a morning shower. It’ll be on the breezy side with mid to upper 60’s. Clouds return on Saturday ahead of the reinforcing shot of cool air. We could see a few scattered showers, and highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s. Unseasonably cool air returns for Sunday under sunshine and a stiff breeze with highs in the mid 50’s.
