Good morning everyone. It’s not the call I like to make, but it was a good call last week in terms of giving everyone a heads that Thanksgiving could be a rainy one. One saving grace is that today will be OK for traveling, and the rest of the holiday weekend looks nice as well after we clear out from tomorrow’s rain.
For today, we’ll have morning blue patches, then clouds will increase as the day goes on. It’ll remain dry and temps will be slightly above average with highs in the mid to upper 50’s.
Even if the Turkey isn’t, your Thanksgiving will be moist. Rain will head in late overnight tonight, and you can expect on and off rain throughout the day tomorrow. It should taper off in the late afternoon/evening, but some heavier showers mixed in may give us some localized flooding or ponding in poor drainage areas. Highs will be near 60, but it won’t feel like it.
Look for decreasing clouds Friday, and the cooler air lags a bit. It’ll be a bit breezy, and we should have highs in the 55-60 range.
Your weekend continues to look seasonable, and the rain even holds off on Sunday. That’ll creep in on Monday instead, so look for a dry weekend. We’ll have sunshine both days, with highs 50-55.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
