STUBBORN COOL EXTRA DAY NYC DEEP SUMMER THURSDAY – Good morning everyone. The fog is so bad down here I can hardly see my computer screen, but the warrior in me presses onward. Cool air wants to be stubborn and hang out an extra day, but it can’t stop whats in motion and spring is on its way; including a borderline hot day on Thursday.

Fog has us socked in across many areas, especially the coast, and it’ll hang around till mid to late morning; maybe even longer along the immediate shores. Then, we’ll have some sun and clouds, mid 60’s, and the slight chance of a shower.

The chance of some scattered light showers will increase tonight as a cooler airmass moves in. Cool air, mostly cloudy skies, and a brisk westerly wind will stick around for tomorrow, with highs only in the mid to upper 50’s. The chance of a scattered shower and gusty west winds extend itself into Monday as this stubborn airmass doesn’t want to leave. We’ll have mid to upper 50’s one more time before it gets kicked out.

Spring invades on Tuesday, with sunny skies and temps roaring back from an unseasonably cool Monday, to mid to upper 70’s in most areas. We notch it up a bit to upper 70’s to low 80’s Wednesday, to Thursday being the warmest day of the week. It’s quite possible we could hit 90 in some localized areas, but we’ll remain conservative and call for mid 80’s in most areas. (Cooler at the shores)

80’s hang on for another day on Friday, then we continue to wait and see what kind of role the maritime influence and low pressure play for next weekend.
