INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY HEAVY NYC RAIN TOMORROW
INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY HEAVY NYC RAIN TOMORROW – Good morning everyone! The sun is out, but signs of an approaching system have begun. Westerly winds have swung around to a cool breeze out of the east ahead of a very large system heading our way. Throughout the day, clouds will slowly increase and temps will reach 60-65 in most places. Overnight, clouds will lower and thicken and we should see our first raindrops right before daybreak tomorrow.
Rain will become steady by tomorrow late morning, and we could see some rumbles of thunder mixed in as the day goes on and a robust low pressure system nears the NYC area;Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. Low pressure gets hung up and is slow to move out, giving us clouds and the threat of scattered showers throughout the weekend.
We’ll finally see a chance of some sun peeking through the clouds by Monday, but in the wake of this system will be some very cool air. Temps on Monday and Tuesday might not break 60, although we slowly modify by Wednesday with low 60’s possible. In the long range, seasonably cool temps stick around and we may have another weekend system to contend with by next Friday.
