NYC Another Unseasonably Cold Day Today
Good morning everyone. We have another cold one today as temps struggle to reach 40 in many spots. Meanwhile, a fairly large, stretched out system, starts heading east to give us a mild day on Thursday. Some areas tomorrow might see some overrunning light rain or mix as that mild air moves in late. The mild air will be short-lived as cool air heads in for Friday and the weekend.
SATELLITE
Today is an easy one forecast-wise, with mostly sunny skies and unseasonably cold conditions. We’ll have highs in the 35-40 range and lows overnight in the 20’s again.
Clouds head in tomorrow, lower and thicken, then we could see a brief patch of scattered light rain or mix. Best chance to see any sleet or wet snow mixed in will be upstate, but don’t be surprised if you see a few sleet balls or mushy rain drops here too.
WEATHER RADAR
Mild air is on full display Thursday, but it won’t be a stellar day overall. Expect clouds in the area with scattered showers at times. Best chance to see some steadier rain and a rumble of thunder, will be overnight Thursday. Highs will be in the 65-70 range.
Friday initially looked ok temp-wise, but that front is on the move. We’ll have some AM rain, PM partial clearing, and early highs around 55-60.
Your first weekend in April is looking mostly dry and cool. We’ll have full sunshine on Saturday with highs in the mid 50’s, then a mix of sun nd clouds Sunday with highs 55-60.
