NYC Cool Breezy Thanksgiving On Schedule
Good morning everyone, We have 2 beautiful days back to back ahead of us, then that system arrives on Wednesday to give us a cool and windy Thanksgiving. The end of your week and weekend start is looking unseasonably cool/cold, then we watch for another system next Sunday/Monday.
SATELLITE
Sunny skies rule this morning, then we could see a few high & mid-level clouds creep in later. It’ll be seasonable with highs in the low 50’s with light winds.
Tomorrow is the jewel of the week as we retain that sunshine, but go for upper 50’s to near 60. Get outdoors and enjoy it, because we won’t be getting many of those for the next 3 months.
REGIONAL RADAR
On Wednesday, that system heads in, bringing clouds and the chance of showers with it. I don’t think we see a full washout or any heavy action, but clouds will be in the for most of the day, with breezy conditions and scattered showers. Highs will be in the 55-60 realm depending on if we see any blue patches.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Thanksgiving on Thursday remains cool/chilly and breezy. For those going to the parade, temps will start out in the 30’s, then slowly rise into the mid 40’s. We may see a few upper 40’s depending on the wind profile/when that front passes through. The later it passes through on Wednesday night, the “warmer” we get as the coldest air lags behind.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

There will be no mistaking the chill in the air Friday and Saturday as the core of the coldest air is over us by then. Expect low 40’s both Friday and Saturday, but at least the winds subside from Thanksgiving as time progresses. Another system could bring some showers in by Sunday or Monday depending on the timing of that system, and temps will slowly begin to modify.
