NYC Dry Dominantly Cold March Start
Good morning everyone. Sunshine is here and things are looking very dry for the next 5-7+ days in the area. However, what keeps us dry and sunny is for the most part unseasonably cold air for the same stretch. Not until early to mid next week, is there any hope of climbing into the 50’s for a milder feel.
SATELLITE
Wind advisories continue into late afternoon and cold air rushed into the area overnight. We’ll have full sunshine, but it’ll be useless as unseasonably cold air sticks around untill we warm up a bit tomorrow. Look for highs in the low to mid 30’s, and the wind will begin to subside a bit by evening.
F5 WEATHER RADARS
Dry and sunny weather continues tomorrow, but we modify briefly into the near 50 range. It’ll be short-lived though as wind and cold return for Thursday onward.
We’ll have a breezy and chill day Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40’s, then we slide back into the mid 30’s for Friday. Sunny and dry weather continues into the weekend, but we remain cold in the 35-40 degree realm.
Looking into next week, I think the chilly air sticks around on Monday, then we modify and possibly go relatively mild mid week. That’ll all depend on our next system to see if the warm front can get past that area. That is the game we play every March and April. If this happens, at minimum we could see low 50’s Tuesday, then 55-60+ Wednesday & Thursday before we cool down again.
Let’s see how it plays out.
