NYC Last Summer Day Goes Quietly

Good morning everyone. Today is our last day of summer, and it’ll be a very pleasant and dry one. Even though we start fall tomorrow on the warmish-side, typical fall weather is on its way with the help of a slow moving cold front/low pressure.

Mostly sunny skies and comfortable conditions grace us today, and we’ll have highs in the mid to upper 70’s for a very comfortable day. Overnight, we only dip into the near 70 range, which is the sign humidity is increasing and a warmer day ahead tomorrow.

Clouds will be on the increase tomorrow, but I think the rain holds off for the most part. We’ll have the slight chance of a late shower, and highs will be near 80 with more humidity.

Our next system is a slow mover, and we’re not looking at a total washout with this one. Look for a cloudy day on Thursday, the chance of scattered showers/rumbles, and highs in the low to mid 70’s.

The best chance of rain will be overnight Thursday into Friday morning, then some scattered possible till early afternoon Friday. We may even see some sunshine before sunset, and highs will be in the mid 70’s.

Our first weekend in fall is looking perfect, with sunshine both days and highs in the low to mid 70’s. Nighttime will have a relatively crisp feel as clear skies allow for some extra cooling and lows in the upper 50’s. We could see some low 50’s away from the City, especially N&W.
