Good morning everyone. Clouds are already on the way today as a large area of moisture grinds towards the Northeast for a showery, thundery, and cool weekend. Check out the latest below.
Look for increasing clouds today after some blue breaks this morning and early afternoon. Highs will be in the 65-70 degree range for a seasonable day for this time of year.
East winds increase overnight and ramp up to steady/stiff parameters. Expect scattered showers developing, then a steadier rain towards evening and overnight. Tomorrow will be a raw and miserable day, with highs in the mid 50’s at best. Stiff easterlies continue for Sunday, with heavier showers and storms possible. Some of these heavier cells could be on the slow-moving side, so areas which had flooding problems a couple of days ago, could see a repeat. Highs in the 60-65 range.
We’ll have the chance of scattered showers on Memorial Day as a warm front tries to pass over the region. It won’t be a full rainout, but it won’t be a great day either. The one positive is that temps improve and on into a humid 70-75 range.
Please note that with regards to any severe weather, tropical storms, or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
