NYC Milder Reprieve Coming
Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a safe and fantastic New Year! We’re watching a milder boundary approach the Northeast, bringing with it some light snow into the region. We could see a narrow arm of that reach down into the NYC/LI area, so we’ll keep the chance of some flurries in the forecast for today. Otherwise, we have 40’s and 50’s coming, but it’ll come at a cost in the form of some rain.
SATELLITE
Look for increasing clouds today with the slight chance of some brief light snow or flurries. Expect little to no accumulation where snow does fall. Highs today in the mid 30’s at best. We remain steady overnight with the milder push; then we are chilly instead of cold tomorrow with more clouds than sun and near 40 temps.
WEATHER RADAR
Wednesday will be the “breakout” in relative terms, with sunshine and highs 45-50. Look for more of the same on Thursday, then the chance of some showers on Friday with 50-55 degree temps.
We’ll have some gusty showers around on Saturday with more 50-55 degree temps, then breezy conditions on Sunday as we drop back to reality with near 40 degree temps.
