NYC Quiet Cooldown Begins Tomorrow

Good morning everyone. We’re almost done with the week, so hang in there; but we’re also almost done with the mild too. I’m not sure how some feel about that, but the good news is that there’s nothing extreme going on in terms of cold or chilly air; just a correction to seasonably average conditions.

Enjoy today while it lasts, because the prospect of seeing mid 70’s again this season is very thin. Yes, we know it could happen randomly, but things are trending cooler now. Look for full sunshine and widespread mid 70’s today.

Steady westerlies move in tomorrow as that front passes, and I continue to go conservative as far as the highs. NWS is talking low 70’s one more day, but I’m going mid to upper 60’s. We’ll see how it pans out.

WEATHER RADAR

For Saturday, extra clouds pay a visit for a mix of sun and clouds. We’ll have highs in the upper 50’s to low 60’s, and maybe a passing sprinkle on the south shore of Long Island.

Upper 50’s to low 60’s stick around for Sunday, and we’ll see a bit more sunshine.

To start next week, Monday we’ll be back into the sun & cloud mix, and upper 50’s to low 60’s dominate most of the week. Halloween is still looking breezy and cool in my opinion, and we’re watching the possibility of a fairly vigorous system at the end of the week/first part of Halloween weekend.
