NYC Rain Moving In Soon

NYC Rain Moving In Soon

Good morning everyone. What a difference a day makes after an impromptu 70 degree day throughout most of the area yesterday, and now 50’s with gloom today. That’s March and sometimes April for you around these parts, and we keep the pattern moving along fast.

SATELLITE

The clouds are here and the showers on our doorstep, heading into Staten Island very shortly. On & Off rain will be with us for much of the day, and highs will be in the mid 50’s.

Expect morning rain tomorrow, then cloudy conditions and a rain drop here or there. Highs again in the mid 50’s.

REGIONAL RADAR

Monday looks to be the best day of the week so far, with clearing skies, light southwesterlies, and highs in the low to mid 60’s.

We remain nice of Tuesday, but it won’t be as mild. Expect increasing clouds late after some sunshine, we’ll remain dry, and highs will be in the mid 50’s.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

Gloom looks to return Wednesday, but I’m skeptical as to how much rain we really getup of this. I’m not thinking much, with maybe just a few scattered showers at best as mid 50’s continue.

Some sunshine returns Thursday and Friday with 55-60 degree weather, then next weekend is looking iffy for now; especially Saturday.

Overall, this fast moving pattern wants to continue and it’s going to be hard to pull off any mild stretches of weather if the system parade marches on. For the past few weeks I spoke of this possible break in the action, but the ridge may not materialize. Stay tuned and we’ll keep an eye on all of the features.
