NYC RAINY CLOSE CALL OVERNIGHT PENNSYLVANIA FLOODING
NYC RAINY CLOSE CALL OVERNIGHT PENNSYLVANIA FLOODING – Good evening everyone. I’m doing a rare update today since the edge of precip has gotten little closer to the NYC area than expected, and Pennsylvania is once again facing flooding issues in areas which don’t need more rain.
While rain looks like it’s march our way from the west, it probably won’t make it. However, rain that didn’t look like it would make it up here today, could give the south shores of NYC and Long Island a few sprinkles or light showers; as well as the east end of Long Island.
During this pattern, the best chance of showers and storms will be tomorrow night and into Wednesday morning/early afternoon; then again on Thursday with some extra juice in the air. Sadly and as I called it, central PA would be the focus right now and flooding is an issue in areas with embedded heavy downpours. That moisture will be headed into NE PA and don’t be surprised if a few flash flood warnings or flood advisories pop up.
For those who didn’t see my detailed long range hot off the press this morning, you can check it out here in all of it’s glory.
Stay tuned and have a safe evening.
