NYC Rainy Day Today Chilly Air Returns
Good morning everyone. We have a busy day ahead today, as well as our weekend and start to next work week. One batch of rain is exiting the area, but rain will return later on and stick with us through early AM tomorrow. Then we’ll be watching for some squally conditions Saturday afternoon as cold air moves in behind departing low pressure.
SATELLITE
Aside from Suffolk County, rain is lifting out of the area for the time being. Expect rain to head back in, and the chance for a few evening and overnight rumbles. We’ll have highs in the low to mid 50’s today.
Rain exits the area early tomorrow, then look for partial clearing and highs in the near 60 range.
WEATHER RADAR
That’ll be the last nice day for a little bit as Saturday will prove to be interesting with some PM rain squalls. Well north and west of the City, those rain squalls will be snow squalls. Don’t be surprised to see a bolt of lightning or two, and maybe even some very small hail.
Sunday goes chilly with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 40’s. Overnight, lows will dip into the 20-25 range for a very cold night.
Monday will be the coldest day of this air mass, with highs in the 35-40 range, then we slowly modify but remain below average.
