NYC Relatively Chilly Saturday Expected

Good morning everyone. We have a beautifully warm day expected today, but the big news will be the chilly air on the way for this weekend. While we dip tomorrow, the real drop comes in a few days thanks to a strong cold front. Check out the latest below.

SATELLITE

For today, look for a last taste of late summer as we climb into the low 80’s ahead of our next front. We’ll also have ample sunshine and a slight humid feel. As that front passes through, look for the chance of a few spotty showers.

WEATHER RADAR

We go from 80’s today, to mid 60’s tomorrow behind that front and ahead of our next cold front. Clouds will increase overnight with the chance of some rain by early AM Friday. Some mild air returns ahead of that strong cold front, but it’ll also increase the risk of some heavy showers and storms. Highs will be in the 70-75º range. Lows dip into the mid to upper 40’s Friday night as winds increase.

Saturday looks blustery and chilly for this time of year. Highs will only reach the 50-55º mark, then down into the 35-40º range we go overnight Saturday. For some areas away from the City, you could be looking at your first frost and freeze for the season. We rebound a bit on Sunday, with winds continuing and highs near 60.
