NYC Scattered Showers Today Warmth Humidity Not Done Yet

Hello everyone. Your weather for the next week or so is brought to you by me, Joe Cioffi, with Angry Ben on the mend at home and out sick. I’ll go over the tropics on my page so I don’t sound redundant, and give you Angry Ben’s input on the local forecast here.

SATELLITE

storm free

A cluster of showers and a few rumbles passed through the area today and are about to make an exit off of Long Island. We have clouds in the area with a stationary/slow moving front draped across the northeast, but should see a few peeks of sunshine.

REGIONAL RADAR

storm free

You can see those scattered showers moving through, and another weak batch is exiting central. moving into NEPA. Those could give us a few sprinkles in the area, and the highs you are witnessing now will be it. Expect mid to upper 70’s, dropping into the upper 60’s to low 70’s by late afternoon.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

storm free

A stiff easterly flow will take over once we are behind that front with high pressure taking command to our north/northeast. We’ll have clouds and sun tomorrow, with highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s, and a steady east breeze.

On Saturday, that warmer air begins to fight back, and we should be back to average/slightly above average temps. Highs in the mid to upper 70’s. For Sunday, warmth and humidity break into the area and we are back into the mid 80’s in most spots.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
