NYC Some Light Snow Still Expected Tomorrow

01/10/25 12:55pm EST

Good afternoon everyone. Our wide-ranging winter storm continues to bring wintry precipitation to a very big area of real estate as everything slowly slides to the east. Snow continues to fall throughout parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana.

In the Northeast, things won’t materialize as far as any major snows, but we still expect some light snow across the region late overnight tonight into tomorrow morning. Overall, we’re talking a dusting to 2″, but those higher amounts will be in higher elevations and not at coastal sections of the NYC Metro Area.

In the Southeast, we have a little surprise as cold air was a little bit more stubborn at the coast, and we saw some early flakes of snow across parts of Myrtle Beach, SC before things turned to light sleet and rain. However, we are seeing snows in western South Carolina, central and western North Carolina, and now slowly creeping into Virginia.

Along that transition line in interior parts of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, we could see some prolonged sleet and freezing rain. For this reason the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for central and western South Carolina, North Carolina, and southern/western parts of Virginia for some accumulating snow and ice-related issues along that transition zone.

Here is your local NYC Metro forecast –

Look for a mix of sun and clouds today with highs in the 35-40 realm and dry conditions. Clouds increase overnight with the chance of some light snow activity.

WEATHER RADAR

Clouds remain tomorrow with some light possible. Depending on how much, we could see a dusting to maybe 1/2″ if things get “spicy”. Clouds clear out on Sunday, and we should have mid to upper 30’s each day.

Monday and Tuesday are sunny with 35-40 degree temps, then we watch for the return of some below-average temps mid to late week.
