NYC Strong Severe Storms Possible Tomorrow Tuesday
Good afternoon everyone. Low pressure continues to spin well west of the area, bringing spokes of energy into the Northeast. For today, central and NW NJ are in the crosshairs, with slow moving showers and heavy storms; causing flash flood issues in certain spots.
SATELLITE
For the NYC area, we actually have some blue skies and very humid conditions. Look for the chance of PM showers and storms, with highs near 80.
Tomorrow we do the same, except that energy shifts east a bit. Look for more humid conditions, clouds, and some heavy showers and storms possible. Some of those storms may reach severe limits in spots. Highs near 80 once again and very juicy.
WEATHER RADAR
As Low pressure gets closer (but still off to our west) on Tuesday, we could see some widespread severe weather in the area. Right now it’s too soon to tell where the line will form and how many miles it’ll take up, but the potential is there to see a line from upstate NY all the way down to Maryland. Highs again near 80, and we’ll really have to watch that radar.
Wednesday we go back to the typical humid airmass with the chance of some showers, and we stick around 80 once again.
Clouds and sun return for Thursday and Friday, and the chance of showers diminish, but still there. Look for near 80/low 80 temps.
