NYC Sunny Dry Day Today Wet Returns Monday
Good morning everyone. Sunny skies have finally returned, but don’t expect it to last with this active pattern in place. The only bright spot is, we are getting the rain we need due to the lack of snow.
SATELLITE
Look for sunny skies, breezy conditions, and a seasonably cold day today. The winds will eventually dial down late, and we won’t be dipping very low overnight. With lows only in the low 30’s after a cold day, you can bet that milder air is on the move again.
REGIONAL RADAR
We’ll have the slight chance of widely scattered morning flurries tomorrow as a weak disturbance slips by, but with highs in the low to mid 40’s, any precipitation should turn to light rain. Regardless, we’ll have no accumulation if we see anything at all. Remember, this is a weak system and any precip will be very scattered & light.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
On Monday, low pressure goes well to our west and north (again), and that’ll bring more steady/widespread rain into the area. We’ll have highs near 50, maybe a touch higher if rain holds off a bit.
Showery conditions remain on Tuesday as that front has a hard time making it all the way through, then sunshine and low to mid 40’s return for Wednesday.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Overall, we’re in a very active pattern but nothing conducive for big snows or even big storms in general. Continue to look for weak to moderate systems trekking across the Country, or waves developing after passing systems stall out down south. We’ll keep an eye out for any surprises, but we remain locked in a generally snow-hostile pattern.
