NYC Unseasonably Warm Air Expected Thursday Friday

Good morning everyone. The mild air has begin to spread over the area, and that will graduate to unseasonably warm conditions Thursday and Friday. We have to get there first though, but each day will br greeted by sunshine, dry conditions, and overall comfortable weather.

SATELLITE

Sunshine and blue skies steal the show today with 60-65 degree temps. We still go cool overnight as clear skies and light winds will help with the radiational cooling. Lows will range from near 40 to the upper 40’s depending on your locale. There may even be a few upper 30’s out in the Pine Barrens.

Tomorrow is very pleasant with more sunshine and 70-75 degree temps with dry conditions.

WEATHER RADAR

A few extra clouds will sneak in on Wednesday with partly sunny skies. That’s in response to the core of warm air that’ll reach us by Thursday/Friday. That’ll tamper things down a bit temp-wise, but we’re still in line for a 75-80 degree day.

Thursday and Friday will be the peak of this mid May to early June weather, with highs 80-85 in most spots aside from the immediate south shore and Forks of LI. Even so, it’ll still be very mild for them.

The next system creeps out way over the weekend, but we remain dry on Saturday. Extra clouds and less favorable winds will give us 75-80 degree temps (cooler at the shore), then we have more clouds and the chance of a few showers on Sunday. Highs will be in the 70-75 range.
