NYC Very Quiet Week Ahead
Good morning everyone and Happy Hanukkah to those lighting the first candles tonight. We continue on this quiet streak, and we’ll be on that road until late weekend next weekend. The pattern will reset eventually towards a more active one, but we have a long way to go and no major snowstorms on the immediate horizon. We’ll keep the forecast simple today and breeze through it since it’s the holidays.
SATELLITE
Look for sunny skies today and comfortable conditions, highs in the mid 40’s.
REGIONAL RADAR
The radar is essentially barren and will remain throughout the week. Milder air moves in tomorrow, and that’ll make for our “warmest” day of the week with sunny skies and highs near 50 in spots.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Mid 40’s and a few clouds here and there return for both Christmas Eve Day on Tuesday, and Christmas on Wednesday.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Quiet weather continues on Thursday with mid 40’s, but we’ll start to introduce more clouds in the region as a broad system begins its trek towards the area. Friday we’ll go for upper 40’s, then possibly near 50 temps on Saturday as that system is off to our west and north.
Depending on the timing of precipitation, we could squeeze off another mild day on Sunday, then rain moves in and colder air works in again early next week.
