NYC Warm & Humid Weekend Likely

Good morning everyone. We have a warm & humid weekend brewing, but we have to get past a couple of systems and showery conditions first.

SATELLITE

We have a cloudy start today, with the majority of the rain going north and west of the area. We could see a few stars showers, but we’ll have a better chance of rain tonight. Highs today will be a humid and breezy near 70º.

WEATHER RADAR

Look for more clouds, showers, and maybe even a rumble or two of thunder tomorrow. Highs will be in the 60-65 realm. Friday will start out cloudy with a few showers, then we should see some blue breaks. Highs will be 65-70 depending on how much sun we get.

While the NWS is going full-bore on the warmth for the weekend, I’m playing things conservative for now. We’ll be on the back end of an early Bermuda high, with some moisture coming back into the area. As of now, I think we have some extra clouds Saturday and Sunday; keeping us in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. However, if things dry up and we don’t see much clouds or scattered showers, we could see 80-95 Saturday and 85-90 on Sunday. I’m not impressed yet, so I’m going low for now.
