NYC Windy Today & Interesting Late Week Possible

Good windy morning everyone. We had a fun night last night on The Mike & Matt Show and their Everyday Nonsense Podcast. For those interested, the episode will be aired early to mid next week, and I’ll be posting the link on Angry Ben’s Angry Weather @ Facebook, plus my Instagram page as well @ AngryBenWX.

We get down to business today, and things are looking decent for a couple of days, then we go with “comfortably unsettled”. However, we’re watching the prospects of a possible coastal system late week (no snow), and we’ll see if it continues to be a feature over the course of the next few days.

Our latest system is pulling away, but not before it gives us one more breezy & cool one. This is something we’ve been watching for a while, and as expected, we have a cool May start with highs in the low to mid 60’s at best. Those winds will help keep things feeling relatively chilly though, so wear some kind of light jacket today if you’re out and about.

Tomorrow we go very nice, although some clouds may become annoying and hold the temps down a bit. Clouds will creep in later tonight, then we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow. A stray shower is possible, but don’t cancel any plans. Highs will be in the 75-80 range (cooler at the shore), but we could break 80 in spots if the sun cooperates a little more.

We’ll have this mix of sun and clouds through Tuesday with the slight chance of some showers; then go cloudy on Wednesday with a better chance of showers. Highs both Monday and Tuesday will be in the 70-75 range, then upper 60’s to low 70’s Wednesday.

If things remain steady, we’ll be watching a window between late Thursday into Saturday morning for a possible coastal system. Dare I say the word Nor’Easter? Most associate Nor’Easters with snow, but they can happen any time during the year, and I specifically remember working a July Nor’Easter in 2009 with a nasty day in the 50’s. It happens, so we’ll be watching to see if all of the ingredients come together.
