Spring Has Sprung (Temporarily) Along East Coast
03/13/24 11:00AM ET
Good morning everyone. We have some absolutely perfect weather on deck for today and tomorrow in the Northeast, with a 1-2 day extension expected in the Southeast. Quiet weather has finally taken hold, but unfortunately it won’t last.
Some light rain heading in on Friday, then maybe again on Sunday, will represent some colder air returning. In some places, Tuesday will be unseasonably chilly as we struggle to get out of the low to mid 40’s after seeing 70 tomorrow. Thus is the extreme ups and downs of March, and we expect that trend to continue.
The only thing we continue to watch is towards the end of the month, where we could see a sizable system march across the Heartland and towards the East Coast. While we don’t have any specifics yet because it’s too far out, it’s likely we will see the return of severe weather in the southeast Plains, Central States, Gulf Coast, and Southeast.

SATELLITE
We’ll see some far weather clouds today, with light winds and highs in the mid to upper 60’s. For tomorrow, 70 is quite possible and if things work out perfectly as far as the wind profile, we could notch past that mark in some spots.
WEATHER RADAR
Clouds roll in on Friday with the chance of a few scattered showers. If the rain can hold off, we could see 65-70.
The weekend continues to look like a spilt, with sun & clouds Saturday and highs in the mid 50’s; then a chance of a few showers Sunday with 55-60 degree temps.
