BEAUTIFUL NYC DAY HOT SUNNY SUNDAY AHEAD – Good morning everyone! Beautiful weather is upon us and we’ll have a near-perfect day today. Sun and clouds, a light breeze, and highs in the mid 80’s in most areas, near 80 at the immediate shore.
Tomorrow, the hot weather moves in with the help of bright sunshine and light southwesterly winds. Expect temps 90-95 in the NYC area, especially in the more notoriously warmer spots of Manhattan and Brooklyn, mid 80’s at the immediate shore as the sea breeze helps to minimize this hot ridge.
Hot weather continues for Monday and Tuesday, with similar conditions and temps as tomorrow, (90-95, 80’s coast) but a backdoor cold front will shut down the furnace quickly on Wednesday. We’ll discuss that more as we go into the beginning of the week.
For the marine forecast, water temps are in the low 60’s, expect seas 2-4ft for the entire weekend, and watch out for possible rip currents on the south facing shores of NYC and the Long Island area. For those who like to target Bluefish, we should have some great blitzes on the surface this weekend with the warm sun working the water.
