BEAUTIFUL NYC SUNDAY RAIN RETURNS TOMORROW
Good morning everyone. We have a beautiful day here in New York City today before clouds start to increase and some showers creep in for tomorrow; then the coolest air of the season heads on in.
EASTERN SATELLITE
Mid level to high clouds are on the move today as our next system approaches the area. Regardless, we’ll have a great day, with seasonably cool temps, comfortable humidity, and highs 55-60.
REGIONAL RADAR
Rain is on the move in the Ohio Valley/Appalachians with some overrunning energy and a reinforcing shot of cool air behind it. Look for the chance of some showers by sunrise tomorrow, then a better chance of steadier rain as we head into late morning. We’ll warm up a bit tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 60’s, but it’s only a 1 day occurrence before we drop once again.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
On Tuesday, we begin to bring in the coolest air of the season. We’ll have a breezy day, with sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 50’s. Wednesday we modify a bit and could see some seasonal low 60’s, but that’s just due to the wind calming down. The core of the cool air moves in Wednesday night and we could see some low to mid 40’s as lows, and widespread 30’s in outlying areas with the help of some radiational cooling. We might even see our first frost in parts of Suffolk County. For Thursday, it’s possible we could only see upper 40’s to low 50’s as highs, but for now I’ll stay conservative and go with low to mid 50’s.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Heading towards the weekend, we return to the normal realm both Friday and Saturday temp-wise, but Saturday has the potential to be unsettled and Sunday may be breezy and cool. In the long range, we continue to look seasonal to seasonably cool; with any milder weather very short-lived as reinforcing shots of cooler air quickly swoop in. In essence, fall is here to here and here to stay.
