CLEAR COOL NYC SATURDAY WARMTH MOVES ACROSS TOMORROW
CLEAR COOL NYC SATURDAY WARMTH MOVES ACROSS TOMORROW – Good afternoon everyone! The sun is back and so am I, with great news for our area. Today we’ll peak out at what would be described as seasonably cool and breezy conditions, but it’s a far cry from the gloom we’ve had for so long. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s in most areas.
A big ridge of high pressure starts to head our way, first clearing the skies out, then sending seasonably mild temps our way for tomorrow. We’ll have sunny skies and highs 65-70 in many areas, but cooler at the coast. For Monday as high pressure moves offshore and winds help pump up air from the south, unseasonably warm temps will ensue, with highs 70-75 and cooler at the coast. It’ll be the same story on Tuesday, but slightly more humid as a front starts it’s approach into the area; highs 70-80 and again, cooler at the coast.
The front that passes by on Tuesday night/Wednesday will be too weak to produce anything of significance, but it’ll cool off the area gradually. Unseasonably mild air holds on for Wednesday, with temps in the mid to upper 60’s. Thursday, we slide a little but lower, still above normal, and highs in the low 60’s. Then, clouds roll back in for Friday and we’re back to normal in the upper 50’s and maybe a few showers.
In the long range, the ridge looks to build back again and drift our way. We’ll have to see how warm it gets, but one thing is certain, milder, drier, and more quiet weather is ahead of us for mid-April onward. Get out and enjoy this beautiful weather, especially for the next few days!
Satellite View
Our large system that brought severe weather to parts of the area is moving well off into Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. A large, slow moving ridge behind it, will give us sunny skies today and sunny/warm conditions for a few days starting tomorrow.
